The trailer brake control and additional plug in wiring harness.
There will be four wires each separately labeled on the harness.
Blue vehicle wire to blue brake controller wire red 12 volt vehicle wire to black brake controller wire white vehicle wire to white brake controller wire.
The first wire black runs to the vehicle s battery to supply power to the trailer connector.
This wire is called the 12 volt hot lead the second wire blue runs to the brake controller to supply power to the trailer brakes.
Connect the brake controller harness to the electronic brake controller using barrel crimp connectors.
Splice the wires from the vehicle to the brake controller harness matching the colors as follows.
The wires exiting the rear of your controller serve the following functions.
The blue wires carries the brake output from the controller the white wire is the ground the black wire supplies 12 volt power and the red wire is tied into the vehicle brake wiring.
The green is labeled stop lamp so that will go to the stop lamp circuit on your brake controller which in our case will be red.
And then you have the extra wire here which is labeled illumination feed.
So that would go to black the 12 volt power supply wire on the brake controller.
